Code of Conduct

Volunteer members of the Jurston Fields Residents Group agree to comply with the following guidance. Members should:

  • Always be respectful and polite to all members within the group and to all partners and stakeholders e.g. C G Fry, Blenheim’s etc. Respect means politeness and courtesy in behaviour, speech, and in the written word.
  • Carry out duties within the scope of their role agreed and assigned as a group.
  • Follow agreed processes when raising issues with Blenheims and CG Fry. Issues should be discussed and agreed within the group prior to any communications being sent on behalf of JFRG.
  • Maintain a degree of confidentiality in respect of sensitive or contentious issues affecting individuals, partners, stakeholders and the development as a whole. (This will be made clear in the minutes of group meetings).
  • Be mindful of group decision making protocols and support the group positively on all matters, even if an individual does not necessarily agree with the decision made.
  • Use the group social media channels appropriately and to post information using the approved process.
  • To ensure that the groups reputation and standing in the community is not brought into disrepute by any inappropriate actions or behaviours.
  • Be impartial – our decisions should be made without bias, favouritism or self-interest. We must act objectively and consider all facts (not hearsay) before taking action.

I agree to:

  • act with integrity and honesty
  • act lawfully
  • treat all persons fairly and with respect; and
  • I lead by example and act in a way that secures public confidence in the role of the Residents Group
